I did wipe the surface grime off with a damp cloth, but did not try to get it any cleaner.The wiring looks original, so you may want to update it to meet today's standards. No dents, breaks, or significant scratches. The knob is marked Leviton, which I guess could be the maker, but probably only made the socket.
