The shelf area is made from a tough cardboard with tile effect- possibly known as resopal. This plant stand is in good vintage condition. As is almost always the case with bamboo plant stands, the rings that hold the plants sit at a slight angle to the main body- particularly the one at the back of this one. It's firmly attached though, and the angulation of the rings means that trailing plants would look particularly good on the stand. The shelf has been wet at some point, and the base of it- old chipboard, underneath the tile effect, has swollen a little under the bottom of the bamboo rim. Again structurally sound, just best to point out. There are also some marks/ scratches to the black shelf, though nothing major and totally commensurate to age and use. Pot rings inner diameter 12cm. Happy to provide more photos if required.
