United 340 Bowtie TV Lamp Clock Mid Century Modern Atomic Sputnik MCM WORKS. This listing is for the MCM Eames Era syled clock/tv lamp only. Manufactured by United Clocks, identified as model 340, and often referred to as the BOWTIE. Likely dates to the 50's since United was bought by another company soon after. Highly styled for the 50's this clock/lamp features a quietly running electric clock movement which still keeps very good time.

The clock face is covered by a glass crystal surrounded by a brass bezel. Two 7.5 watt candlelabra base bulbs produce light through a starburst imprinted diffuser and a black perforated metal screen.

Typical of this period are the brass ball feet and adornments. All appears to be without any obvious physical damage. Some age related brass oxidation is present.
